*Q1-Q4 for pollinators
TOP 5 ACTIONS Q1-Q4
When planning for pollinators-biodiversity, start by referring to the actions (Actions 1-33) in the Checklist (Page 34-35) of Businesses: actions to help pollinators and choose which are most suitable for your business site.
- Don’t forget to use the companion resources when choosing which trees/shrubs/plants/bulbs in your decision-making and avoid invasive species by verifying what you are specifying through invasives.ie
- Invest time in AIPP background reading including: Pesticide alternatives: a summary » All-Ireland Pollinator Plan and Why we don’t recommend wildflower seed mixes » All-Ireland Pollinator Plan
- REMEMBER: Neither managing honeybee hives nor sowing/gifting wildflower seed mixes are biodiversity actions. Although genuine in intention these actions are reflexive responses to the biodiversity crisis without a scientific basis.
No physical footprint? Consider sponsorship in the local community or go straight to Communication Actions below. If you are situated within a business park, consider inviting business neighbours to join you on the biodiversity journey by exploring Business Parks for pollinators and Ecological Corridors.
