TOP 5 ACTIONS Q1-Q4

When planning for pollinators-biodiversity, start by referring to the actions in the Checklist (Page 34-35) of Businesses: actions to help pollinators and choose which are most suitable for your business site.

Things to be aware of…

  • Neither managing honeybee hives nor sowing wildflower seed mixes are biodiversity actions. Although genuine in intention these actions are reflexive responses to the biodiversity crisis without a scientific basis.
  • Gifting wildflower seed mix packets or seed ball type products is NOT an evidence-based biodiversity action. Select instead from the AIPP’s Top Ten pollinator-friendly plants for different situations and choose, bulbs, herb packets, perennials (heathers) or sunflower seeds (Actions 11/12 ) or biodiversity swatches from the online shop.
